White House Easter

X
Buddy and Mary at the White House
X
Buddy waiting for the whistle to start the Easter egg roll. It's been a tradition at the White House since the late 1800s. Kids roll eggs across the grass with spoons. First one to cross the finish lines wins. Eggs get a little gross in the hot sun.
X
Mary won her heat.
X
Word Girl from PBS. One of the kids' favorite shows.
X
J.K. Rowling doing a reading from her first Harry Potter book. She read the scene in which Harry buys his wand from Mr. Olivander. President Obama read Green Eggs and Ham shortly before we arrived. If we would have come an hour sooner we would have met him.
X
Buddy's question to Ms. Rowling during Q & A
